We introduced civilizations who lived in our city:

                                                                                            RİZE

We don’thave enough information about the history of Rize, which was established in a very steep land between Kaçkar Mountains and Black Sea in the northeast of Anatolia. While the first tribe living in Rize region is the end, they are   Asyanik tribes. The name of the region is mentioned in a written source for the first time BC. It happened in the 8th century. The beginning of the Historical Age in a region is the first time that the region is mentioned in a written source. For this reason, Çoruh tribes and Rize region were the first in history, in the cuneiform inscription of Urartian Sardur II on the rock on the rock above Taşköprü Village in the north of Kars, in 765 BC, 'Kulki / Kulkha 'Kolk-Koldit' was mentioned in the past and later Greek sources. This cuneiform inscription is the source of the region name written for the first time in one place. Alexander the Great's Persian King III. The Anatolian domination he gained after he defeated Darius BC. It lasted until 323 years. After the death of Alexander, Mitridates Kitistes, who declared his independence in the wars of interest and sovereignty between his commanders and satraps, founded the Pontos Kingdom that expanded around Sinop on the Black Sea coast. King of Pontos Farnakes BC In 180, he invaded Rize and added it to the land of the kingdom. Rize region later M.S. It entered the sovereignty of the Roman Empire in 10 years. After Rome was divided into two, Rize and its surroundings remained in the Byzantine territory. Georgian King III. The Commanders, who took high positions in the Georgian Army during the times of George (1156-1184) and Queen Thamara (1184-1212), later adopted Orthodox Christianity and settled in the border regions of this state with Muslim Turks. Today, Kumbasars, who live in the mountain villages of İkizdere District of Rize, belong to the Kumbasar family, who became the Commander-in-Chief in the Georgian army and left the region, which was given as a mansion when he got older, and who was drawn to the Rize Mountains. Rize, which was defined as a textile and trade center during these periods, was also an accident center (Bandon) affiliated to the Greek Kingdom in Trabzon. The lands to the east of Rize, the center of which is the market, was a separate administrative unit within the borders of the empire. In 1458, after the long Hasan entered the Çoruh basin, which was ruled by the Atabek hand, and included the İspir Region within the borders of the state, the Hamshen Area was also subject to Akkoyunlular. But the land until the town of Rize and Pazar on the beach belonged to the Kingdom of Trabzon. In 1461, when Fatih Sultan Mehmet came personally and conquered Trabzon, the lands until the Çoruh River on the beach came under Ottoman rule, including Hemsin. Before the conquest, the Greek Cypriot Kingdom, Megrel Dadyan, Kartli King and Coruh Atabegi, who were in this region, made a Christian alliance among themselves and included the rivals of the Ottomans, Akkoyunlu, as a protector. This alliance was planning to attack and eliminate the Ottomans with a crusade and the other Turkmen Beys who rivaled the Ottoman Empire, which would be organized with the efforts of the Pope. Fatih, who is aware of this mechanism, went on a journey in 1461 and eliminated the Kingdom of Trabzon, the brain of the alliance. Despite the Sultan of Sultan Akkoyunlu Uzun Hasan, who was born from a mother of Komnosos and married to Komninos, who was the ally of the Turabozan Tekfurlığı, Fatih Sultan Mehmet surrendered without war. Since most of the Greeks in the city and some of the surrounding Greek villagers migrated to and settled in Crimea, it was seen that the port cities of Crimea were taken from Venice and Genoese in 1475, and these were written as "Turabuzoniyan". In the same 1461, the places up to the mouth of Çoruh in the east, and between them, were conquered without any war in Rize, and all these places were connected to the newly established "Turabozan Sanjak". Turks were brought to the cities and towns from Çorum, Amasya, Tokat and Samsun as volunteers and exiles until 1464. After the second conquest of Fatih Age, Konya / Karaman was conquered in 1466, most of the city and townspeople were settled in Istanbul and the other part in the villagers in the Turabozan Sanjak and Rumelia. Those placed in the Turabozan Sanjak were mostly placed in the Rize District. Therefore, the Muslim Turks who came during both settlements caused the Kipchak and indigenous people to become Muslims as a result of their Islamic lives there. In the Ottoman tax books, it was pointed out who were Muslims.
